Title: Delta Airlines - We Deserve Better than This Post by: Consumer on August 22, 2009, 03:53:42 AM I was in a flight fro Atlanta to Lagos a few days ago - DL 54, and it was quite an interesting experience.
It started with late departure, about one hour behind schedule. The inflight entertainment took more than an hour to come on. The food was horrible. The children just spat it out. We were served expired water with breakfast, my wife and daughter disembarked at Lagos feeling sick. And then the final straw - the cargo hold door refused to open. Our luggage was held hostage for almost two hours. It had to be manually forced open, to get them out. So for a flight that landed after 4PM, we got to leave the airport at 6.30PM to join the rush hour traffic. I was wondering, does Delta handle their other routes the same way? We need other airlines to fly direct to the US, so that Nigerians will have a choice of which airline to patronize. I dont blame Delta for not serving refreshments on domestic flights in the US, or using one attendant to man two posts during safety briefing presentation - running like a comedian from pillar to post to demonstrate each point (obviously to save costs and maybe provide comic relief), but where you decide to serve, come on! be the world class airline you claim to be. Your Nigerian route leaves a lot to be desired (or do you deliberately dump your worst plane and service on us??? Is that it?) |
